The Cayman Islands U-15 National Football team have their sights set on the CONCACAF tournament coming up in August 2017.

The team have been in training for two years honing their skills as players and as a team. The boys have been training hard and are currently training twice a week as well as training with their own clubs.

The CONCACAF tournament will see the boys playing against some of the best young footballers in the region. The tournament is an important milestone for these talented boys who will go on to become future U-17 and U-21 players with the next step being the U-17 world qualifiers.

The team’s management and coaches have a number of training opportunities that they would like to implement to prepare the boys for the tournament, including attending the IMG Camp in Orlando at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in May 2017, as well as running two training weekend retreats here in Cayman and possibly bringing an international coach to Cayman to work with the boys.

The team is looking to the community for sponsorship and support to assist in the preparation for the upcoming tournament. CIFA’s recent challenges have led to a significant funding shortage for the development of players and the team in the lead up to this important competition.

The team has launched a website cayman.football to aid in their efforts to put their best foot forward at the CONCACAF tournament. Please visit the website to support our local team.
